The University of Science and Technology's Hodeida branch hosted a celebratory event on Sunday commemorating the birth anniversary of Fatima al-Zahra, revered as the "the lady of the Women of the Worlds." Organized by the Student Affairs Unit and the University Student Forum, the event underscored the spiritual and cultural significance of al-Zahra's legacy.
During the ceremony, speakers highlighted the occasion as a reaffirmation of the love for Prophet Muhammad and his family, urging attendees to embody al-Zahra's virtues, including her sacrifices, patience, and faith. They emphasized her role as a guiding light for women, particularly in combating efforts to undermine religious values under the guise of cultural openness.
The event also served as a platform to celebrate the resilience and identity of Yemeni women.
The speakers praised Yemeni women for drawing inspiration from al-Zahra's example, maintaining steadfastness, and resisting global powers that threaten Yemen's sovereignty and culture.
In her remarks, the speakers stressed the importance of preserving the cultural and moral lessons derived from sl-Zahra's life, describing the occasion as a call to action against aggression and injustice.
