The Russian Defense Ministry announced Monday that its forces were able to control a new town in eastern Ukraine, as part of the ongoing military operations in that region.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated in a statement that its forces took control of the town of Storozhevoye, located in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine, adding that its military units had improved their positioning along the front line in that region.
The Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine is one of the strategic points on which Russian military operations focus, in the context of the ongoing escalation of the conflict with Ukraine since February 2022.
