Governor of Amran Dr. Faisal Juman and the Chairman of the General Authority for Lands Ibrahim al-Mansour launched on Monday the initial paving works for the streets of eight new neighborhood units in Khamer district in the province.
During the launch, governor and the head of the authority received a briefing from the directors of works, Eng. Sultan al-Qarahi and lands, Hamir al-Azki, as well as members of the planning project team. They explained the objectives of the project, which is being implemented by the executive unit.
The goal is to pave the main streets of the new neighborhood units in the areas of Beit Al-Wadi'i, Beit al-Mashriqi, and Dahadh area surrounding the city of Khamer.
The governor and the chairman of the authority highlighted the importance of completing the paving works for these neighborhood units in a way that aligns with urban planning principles.
They emphasized that the project aims to support urban expansion in the city of Khamer, alleviate traffic congestion, expand the internal road network, and improve street organization and public services within the district.
Juma'an and al-Mansour stressed the urgency of implementing neighborhood unit plans to prevent haphazard construction and to properly allocate spaces for public services.
They also called for developing a separate study for each plan in coordination with the relevant authorities.
