Gaza - Saba:
The government media office in Gaza confirmed that 81 percent of the displaced are living a tragic humanitarian crisis that threatens the death of thousands of them due to the deterioration of their tents and the severe frost waves hitting the Strip, where the displaced are living in harsh conditions that have caused the death of five cases during the past few days due to the severe cold and the enemy's destruction of the housing sector.
Two million displaced people have been living for more than a full year in tents made of cloth, which have become unusable due to time and weather conditions, indicating that 110,000 tents out of 135,000 tents are out of service, meaning 81 percent of the tents have completely deteriorated, the office said in a statement today, Saturday.
It stressed that the catastrophic humanitarian situation experienced by citizens is a direct result of the genocide committed by the Zionist enemy army, which completely destroyed hundreds of thousands of homes, and forced them to flee and live in tents that lack the minimum requirements for a decent life.
The government media also confirmed that this deep humanitarian crisis continues in full view of the international community and international and UN organizations without them moving a finger, "and without us seeing practical steps to overcome this serious humanitarian crisis that is claiming the lives of displaced people and citizens."
It held the Zionist enemy fully responsible for the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip due to its ongoing criminal practices, as well as the US administration and the countries that supported and participated in the genocide, such as Britain, Germany and France.
He called on the international community to take immediate action and exercise its effective role to pressure the Zionist enemy to stop the crime of genocide, stop its aggressive practices and ensure the provision of the necessary support to relieve the affected, most notably providing shelter for every Palestinian family.
He also appealed to the Arab and Islamic countries and all humanitarian and international bodies to take urgent action to save civilians in the Gaza Strip and provide them with their basic needs of shelter, food and medicine, in a way that guarantees their human dignity and protects their lives from the cold of winter and severe frost waves.
The government media stressed that this tragedy requires a serious stance from all parties in the world to assume their legal and moral responsibilities towards the Palestinian people.. stressing that the world's silence on this suffering represents complicity with injustice and the continuation of an unacceptable human tragedy.
