The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on Sunday mourned Journalist Shaza Sabbagh, who was martyred after being directly and deliberately targeted by members of the Palestinian Authority security forces, while she was in front of her relatives' house with children and women in Jenin Camp.
"The killing of Journalist Shaza, sister of Qassam fighter Martyr Moatasem Sabbagh, by the PA security forces in cold blood and deliberately, is a condemned criminal act that is added to the black record of those forces against our people, including killing, arresting and torturing," the Movement said in a statement.
The operation of the Authority's security forces in Jenin camp has reached dangerous and unprecedented stages, and scenes that mimic what the occupation is doing against our people, and that this crime is not a passing incident, but rather part of a repressive policy targeting Jenin camp, which is a symbol of steadfastness and resistance, Hamas added.
The Movement called on the Authority and its security forces to respond to the various national initiatives to stop this campaign against Jenin camp, and called on all Palestinian nationalists to pressure the Authority with all firmness to hold accountable those involved in the killing of the journalist, stop this unpatriotic security operation, intensify the movement by all means to prevent it from pursuing the resistance fighters and the free men and women of our people, release all detainees, and stand with the Palestinian people who are being subjected to genocide and annexation and displacement plans.
