Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Mahmoud al-Mashhadani said on Wednesday that the blood spilled in Iraq and Lebanon will not be wasted, but rather a symbol of real victory.
According to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), al-Mashhadani said during a speech at the memorial festival held by the Iranian embassy in Baghdad on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the martyrdom of the leaders of victory, that "the blood spilled in Iraq and Lebanon will not go to waste, but rather a symbol of true victory and divine honor for the martyrs, who will remain a beacon guiding the way towards the next Islamic spring."
He pointed to the importance of investing sacrifices in Gaza and Lebanon. "The victories achieved in these arenas will be the beginning of a new Islamic spring that will strengthen solidarity and strength in the region," he said.
