Iraqi political analyst Qasim al-Tamimi on Friday ruled out the success of the Zionist plan to change the situation in his country, similar to what happened in Syria, with the aim of dragging the country towards normalization and turning it into a ground for the passage of Zionist-American projects.

Al-Tamimi told the Iraqi "Al-Malouma" agency: "The Iraqi people and their formative nature reject any contact, communication or recognition of the Zionist entity, which confirms that Iraq will not go towards normalization at all."

He added: "The Zionist entity has a plan that it is working to implement, as it has succeeded in dragging many countries towards normalization, passing its policies towards them, benefiting from their wealth, and exploiting its relations with them to ensure their silence on its massacres against the Palestinian people."

He stressed that "the plans to change the map of the region will not apply to Iraq, especially since the plan is clear and known, as the endeavor to change the regime in the country similar to what happened in Syria is a matter of imagination and cannot be realized on the ground at all."
