Today, the free medical camp for eye surgery (cataract removal and lens implantation) was concluded in the Bajil district in the Hodeida governorate.
The free camp, which was implemented by the Ministry of Health and Environment and the Medical Camps Department in coordination with the local authority, the governorate health office, the directorate, and the pivotal hospital, aimed over a period of six days, to conduct 700 cataract removal operations and lens implantation for poor, insolvent and needy community groups, with the support and funding of Human Rights Watch Organization.
In conclusion, the Director of the Camps Department at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Imad, explained that the camp comes within the ministry's interest in the humanitarian aspect and alleviating the suffering of the poor segments, indicating that two thousand 256 cases were received, examined and examined for two thousand and 256 cases, including 700 cases that had cataract suction and lens implantation.
Dr. Al-Emad praised the efforts of the local authority, the health office in the governorate, the directorate, and Bajil Pivotal Hospital for their role in the success of the camp.
