London - Saba:
Heavy snowfall caused transportation disruptions in England and Germany on Sunday, with airports temporarily closed and flights canceled or delayed.
According to AFP, overnight snow accumulated in various parts of England and Wales.
In the West Yorkshire region of northern England, snow accumulated to a height of 12 centimeters on Sunday morning, according to the UK Met Office.
At higher altitudes, the snowfall reached up to 40 centimeters.
Accidents caused by bad weather, or vehicles stuck in snow, have caused major road closures across the UK's road network.
The weather caused at least one train line in Leeds to shut down and many houses in England and Wales to lose power.
