The local authority in Hodeidah Governorate organized a speech event today on the occasion of Rajab Friday 1446 AH.
In the event, the first deputy governor, Ahmed Mahdi Al-Bishri, indicated that celebrating this anniversary is a station to draw lessons and morals and renew the pledge and loyalty to God and His Messenger and support Islam.
He explained that the Yemenis celebrate this occasion to remind of the honorable role of their ancestors who were in the vanguard of Muslims from the dawn of the Islamic call and their reception of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and the noble companion Muadh bin Jabal, may God be pleased with him.
Al-Bishri stressed that the Yemenis embody, through their honorable exit in the mass marches to support the Book of God, their positions and sacrifices over ten years of aggression and siege, which is evident in Yemen of faith and wisdom, thus translating the hadith of the Messenger, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace, when he said, "I find the breath of the Most Merciful from Yemen."
He pointed out that commemorating this occasion is a revival of the religion and values brought by the Noble Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, and a station to renew the covenant with God and his Messenger and to stock up on obedience through applying God’s teachings, spreading good morals, spreading the virtues of religion in society, and rejecting all other destructive ideas.
For his part, the Governor’s Deputy for Services Affairs, Mohammed Suleiman Halisi, pointed out the importance of commemorating Rajab Friday, and the sincere return to the approach of the Messenger of God and his family, and adhering to his teachings derived from God’s orders in all aspects of life.
He pointed out the status and greatness of this blessed day in the souls of the Yemeni people and its role in strengthening the faith identity and sincere belonging, which appeared clearly in all their positions towards all Arab and Islamic issues.
He considered Rajab Friday for Yemenis a biography and a journey of faith and an immortal history full of achievements and exploits, and at the same time represents a connection to the true Islamic religion and the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, and his messengers to Yemen, foremost among them Imam Ali bin Abi Talib and Muadh bin Jabal, may God be pleased with them.
In turn, the Deputy Governor for Culture and Media Affairs, Ali Qashar, touched on the importance of commemorating this occasion as a station to strengthen the faith identity due to its association with the memory of the Yemenis' entry into Islam and their exit from darkness to the light of guidance and the path of salvation in this world and the hereafter.
He pointed out that Rajab Friday represents a station to root the faith identity and renew adherence to it and elevate what it carries of faith meanings that everyone must embody in word and deed.
The Deputy Qashar considered Rajab Friday an important station in the lives of the Yemeni people to renew sincere loyalty to God, His Messenger and his family, and to embark with a new spirit on the path of supporting Islam and calling to God with insight.
In the event attended by the Deputy Governors, Muhammad Al-Nahari and Ali Al-Kabari, the official of the Scholars and Educators Unit in the governorate, Sheikh Ali Somal, reviewed the role of Yemenis in supporting God and His Messenger since the dawn of Islam, calling for adherence to the faith identity that God and His Messenger have bestowed upon the people of Yemen.
He explained that commemorating this occasion, which embodies the authenticity and identity of the Yemeni people and their struggle, coincides with Yemen's great position in supporting Palestine and in light of the nation's submission to the forces of evil, arrogance and old-new colonialism led by the sponsors of terrorism, America, Britain and the Zionist entity. Sheikh Somal called on everyone to carry the jihadist spirit, in word and deed, to confront the American-British-Zionist aggression, to remain steadfast, to maintain unity of ranks and to strengthen the internal front, stressing that the Yemeni people will continue to celebrate this occasion despite attempts to obliterate and deny it by those who consider celebrating it an innovation at a time when it constitutes an extension of the covenant, loyalty and connection to Islam and to strengthen values and principles and to recall the virtues that the ancestors followed. The event, which was attended by a crowd of scholars, local leaders and social figures, included expressive paragraphs about the occasion.
