Baghdad - Saba:
The leader of the Iraqi State of Law Coalition, Haider Al-Lami, confirmed today, Saturday, that the United States' promises to withdraw from Iraq are not honest and we must beware of its plans.
Al-Lami said in a statement to the Iraqi "Al-Maalouma" Agency: "The Popular Mobilization Forces are an important part of the Iraqi security force thanks to the parliament's vote on it." He stressed that it is a safety valve for the unity of Iraq, land and people.
He added: "Iraq will not allow any external or internal interference that affects this institution that has proven its importance in maintaining the country's security and stability."
He pointed out that "the national resistance played a prominent role in protecting Iraq during the past years, especially in the war against Al-Qaeda and the remnants of the former regime, up to confronting the American occupation in addition to confronting ISIS", stressing that "whoever wants to talk to the resistance must do so with respect and appreciation for its national role". He explained that "the United States is trying to find justifications to stay in the country and the region, and its promises regarding withdrawal are not sincere", calling for the need to be cautious in dealing with it and that all Iraqi forces must unite to expel American forces from the country.
