Occupied Quds - Saba:
Steve Witkoff, the special envoy of US President-elect Donald Trump to the Middle East, told the Zionist Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, at a meeting, that Trump wants to complete the prisoner swap deal with Hamas by the day of his inauguration on January 20.
Israel and Hamas have made progress in negotiations in recent days, but controversial issues still exist, American media quoted an Israeli official as saying.
Another Israeli official indicated that "it will be difficult to conclude a deal by the time Trump takes office," although he acknowledged the possibility of that, according to American media.
According to reports, if the deal is concluded, 33 hostages can be handed over to the Zionist entity in the first stage, while the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip will last from six to seven weeks. For its part, the occupier must release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.
Earlier on Saturday, the Zionist enemy media reported in a report that there was clear progress in the negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Movement (Hamas), which may lead the head of the Mossad to head for Qatar.
The Hebrew Channel 13 said Netanyahu may send David Barnea, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service (Mossad), to Doha to complete the negotiations on a prisoner swap deal with Hamas and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, the representative of the Palestinian Movement in Lebanon, Ahmed Abdel Hadi, stated that "the ball is now in the court of the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, regarding the ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip."
