Hodeida - Saba:
The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Dr. Ali Al-Yafii, visited the historic city of Zabid in Al-Hodeidah Governorate to see the ongoing projects to preserve it as a city included in the World Heritage List. The visit included Bab Siham, Dar Al-Nasser, and the Zabid Castle Museum, where the contents of the museum reflecting the city's history were seen.
The Minister also received studies on the museum's development and the city preservation plans and visited the traditional carpentry workshop that produces artworks that reflect the unique architectural character of Zubaid. He also inspected paving and service networks in historical neighborhoods, and reviewed the damage to some historical homes due to rain, while reviewing the restoration efforts.
The minister stressed the importance of preserving Zabid for its cultural and historical role, stressing the government's support for these efforts and enhancing cooperation to protect the city, which was a global scientific and cultural beacon.
