Washington - Saba:
US President-elect Donald Trump said today, Friday, that the prisoner exchange deal must be completed before his inauguration next Monday, stressing that his participation was crucial in the negotiations.
Trump said in press statements: "We changed the course of things quickly, and frankly, it must be completed before I take office as president, and we shook hands and signed some documents, but it must be done."
Trump accused President Joe Biden of not doing anything in this regard, saying: "I am not looking for credit. I want to get these people out. We must get them out."
According to "Israeli" expectations, the ceasefire may begin on Sunday, but the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, quoting Hebrew sources, suggested that the government session to vote on the Gaza agreement would be postponed until Saturday evening, adding that the release of the hostages would take place on Monday, the day of Trump's inauguration.
