Member of the Supreme Political Council Mohammed Al-Naimi and Secretary of the Capital Dr. Hamoud Abbad launched today the "Ramadan Vegetables from Your Home" campaign in its fourth season, under the slogan "Together towards self-sufficiency."
The campaign, implemented by the Women's Development Department and the Women's Authority in cooperation with the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects Financing Unit and the Agricultural Production Encouragement Fund, aims to promote the culture of home farming, support food security, and provide additional income for Yemeni families.
Al-Naimi praised the efforts made in implementing the campaign, stressing the importance of continuing such initiatives throughout the year to include all families, which contributes to achieving an economic renaissance in the field of agriculture and local production. He explained that the campaign restores the traditions of self-reliance that distinguished the ancestors, stressing that self-sufficiency is part of facing economic challenges and strengthening national sovereignty.
For his part, Dr. Hamoud Abbad stressed that the Yemeni family is a fundamental pillar of the national economy, noting that community initiatives contribute to confronting dependence on the outside and enhancing local production. He announced plans to establish the largest shopping center for products of productive families and small projects, which will support the development of these families and contribute to reducing unemployment.
The launch included presentations of the projects and achievements of the Women's Development Department and the Women's Authority, and artistic segments presented by the Orphanage Band, in addition to honoring a number of cooperating parties.
