Provinces - Saba:
The Zionist enemy forces on Wednesday, for the third consecutive day, tightened their military measures at most of the entrances and exits of the governorates in the West Bank.
Local sources reported to the Palestinian News Agency "Wafa" that the occupier tightened its military measures at the Atara and Ein Siniya checkpoints in the vicinity of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, and closed the northern entrance to the city of Al-Bireh.
The same sources added that the Atara and Ein Siniya checkpoints north of Ramallah are witnessing a stifling crisis for those leaving for the third consecutive day, as occupation soldiers search vehicles and check citizens' ID cards, and hundreds of vehicles line up in long queues, waiting to be allowed to leave.
The occupation forces closed the entrances to the villages of Nabi Elias and Kafr Laqif with an iron gate, and prevented citizens from moving, and set up military checkpoints at the entrances to the villages of Al-Funduq, Jit, and Hajja, east of Qalqilya, which hindered the movement of citizens along the main Qalqilia-Nablus road, which connects these villages.
The occupation forces also closed the Tayasir military checkpoint east of Tubas with iron gates, and prevented citizens from crossing, especially those heading towards the Jordan Valley.
In a related context, these forces tightened their military measures at the Hamra military checkpoint, and obstructed the movement of citizens, which caused a stifling traffic crisis.
The two checkpoints have been witnessing military tightening and repeated closures of citizens' movements for a year and a half, which have intensified over the past three days.
Hundreds of citizens spent the night at the checkpoints, waiting to cross them and reach their places of work.
The occupation separates the cities of the West Bank from the Jordan Valley through these two checkpoints, and citizens' access to the Jordan Valley has become dependent on the flexibility of the checkpoints.
The occupation forces also tightened their measures at the Qalandia and Jaba military checkpoints north of occupied Quds, which obstructed the movement of citizens and caused a stifling traffic crisis.
In Nablus Governorate, the occupation forces tightened their military measures, and set up military checkpoints at the entrances to Beita, Jurish, Al-Sawiya, and Aqraba, and closed the iron gates at the entrances to Yatma and Burin.
According to local sources, the Deir Sharaf checkpoint is witnessing a stifling crisis, as vehicles at the Al-Murabba’a and Awarta checkpoints in the south and Beit Furik in the east are subjected to thorough inspection.
Separately, these forces stormed the town of Beit Furik, the village of Rujeib, and the Al-Ain camp, raided a number of homes, and tampered with their contents.
In an updated statistic by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the number of Israeli military checkpoints and gates in the West Bank has risen to 898, including more than 173 iron gates that have been placed since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, and 17 since the beginning of this year.
