New York - Saba:
The United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in the occupied Palestinian territory, Muhannad Hadi, said that UNRWA has about 13,000 people working in Gaza Strip, the relationship between the Palestinians in Gaza and UNRWA will be strengthened, "and we will stay with them to restore their lives better."
He wrote in a post on the "X" platform after visiting Gaza on Wednesday: "When I entered Gaza this morning, I felt great hope to see people returning to their places of residence in the Strip."
While acknowledging the ongoing suffering, Hadi noted that many Gazans want to get back to work and rebuild rather than rely on aid.
He continued: "The needs of the women and children he spoke to were education, blankets for the winter, and basic clothing after months of deprivation."
Hadi visited the logistics center and milling facilities, where operators were eager to resume operations but facing obstacles such as fuel and spare parts shortages. He emphasized the need for international media to return to Gaza to cover the situation on the ground.
