Sana'a - Saba:
Activists launched this evening,Wednesday, a tweet campaign on the social networking site "X" to expose the corruption of the tools of the occupation.
The tweets on the hashtag "Corruption of the tools of the occupation" emphasized that the residents of the occupied provinces are living in a catastrophic living situation of crazy price hikes, the collapse of the currency without stopping and the lack of services.
They touched on the reports of the Central Auditing and Control Organization, Aden branch, which revealed that mercenaries committed financial corruption and money laundering crimes in PetroMasila by transferring 1.2 billion dollars to the company's accounts abroad, and that the Aden Refineries Company wasted 180 million dollars in projects without any real need for them.
The tweeters addressed the imbalances in all contracts concluded by the mercenaries for the provision of oil derivatives for the year 2022, worth 285 million dollars, which resulted in damage to public money due to the inflated financial burdens borne by the public treasury, as well as the corruption of Yemeni embassies and consulates under the mercenary government, in addition to corruption in power generation contracts with floating ships while Aden is shrouded in darkness.
They emphasized that former officials in the mercenary government embezzled large sums of money without any right or legal classification, as the looting of public money and money laundering became a prominent feature of the mercenary government.
The tweets pointed out that it has become a custom in the mercenary-controlled Yemeni embassies to distribute scholarships provided by countries to universities to the children and relatives of diplomats and employees appointed by the hypocritical government.
The tweets emphasized that the crises fabricated by the occupation and its tools, foremost of which are electricity cuts, security instability and widespread lack of services, are the prevailing characteristic in the occupied provinces as a natural product of the policies of destruction pursued by the aggression coalition through its agents.
According to the tweets, the oil and gas revenues and citizens' salaries did not satiate the stomachs of mercenaries in the occupied provinces, but rather increased their hunger, and they broke into banks to loot them. The achievements of moving the Central Bank to Aden include a continuous suspension of salaries and an ongoing economic collapse to starve the people, as the value of one dollar has reached 2070 riyals in the occupied areas.
The tweeters asked, "When will the tampering with the resources of Yemenis in the occupied areas end, where do the revenues of the ports and revenue interests go, where do the deposits, grants and loans in billions of dollars that are given to the mercenary government while the national currency in the areas under its control continues to collapse?" ... Emphasizing that corruption hinders development, destroys the future of generations, and our people will not be silent indefinitely.
They pointed out that citizens in the occupied areas are suffering from the wounds of deprivation and poverty, while the corrupt in the occupation government enjoy sharing deals from sell Yemeni ports, looting oil and gas, and destroying infrastructure, while government institutions in the occupied areas have turned into centers for the organized looting of public money.
The tweets pointed out that the most prominent achievements of the mercenary government are the seizure of public money, money laundering and terrorism financing, the involvement of banks and exchange companies in money laundering, evasion of taxes and customs duties, violations in power generation contracts, and systematic attacks on state lands by influential figures.
They emphasized that Saudi Arabia and the UAE are using the mercenary government as a cover for plundering Yemen's wealth, and the corruption of the traitors' government has led to disrupting the peace process and prolonging the aggression against Yemen, serving the interests of the invaders at the expense of the people's suffering.
