Real Madrid of Spain achieved a crushing victory with a score of 5-1 over its guest, Red Bull Salzburg of Austria, in the European Champions League yesterday evening, Wednesday.
Real Madrid's five goals were scored by Brazilian Rodrygo (two goals) in the 23rd and 48th minutes, his compatriot Vinicius Junior (two goals) in the 34th and 55th minutes, and Frenchman Kylian Mbappe in the 77th minute.
While Mads Bidstrup scored the face-saving goal for Salzburg in the 85th minute.
Despite ensuring qualification to the next round, Real will need to win its match in the last eight round against Brest and for other results to play in its favor to ensure finishing the stage within the top eight to qualify directly to the round of 16 without playing a play-off round of two matches.
On the other hand, Salzburg's balance froze at three points in 34th place and lost all chances of qualifying to the next round even through the play-off.
