The General Authority for Endowments branch in Taiz commemorated the annual anniversary of Imam Ahmed bin Alwan at Al-Jund Mosque, in the presence of local officials and religious figures.

It was emphasized that commemorating this anniversary reflects adherence to the faith identity and steadfastness in the face of attempts to obliterate the cultural and religious identity of Yemenis. The role of Imam bin Alwan as a symbol of righteousness and asceticism, and his call for truth and confronting injustice were highlighted.

The participants reviewed the biography of the Imam, his writings, and his scientific and religious struggle, stressing the importance of commemorating this occasion to spread wisdom and promote love and tolerance in light of the challenges facing Yemen.

The attendees stressed the need to protect the Sufi heritage and its status while emphasizing that Al-Jund Mosque will remain a symbol of righteous saints and a historical legacy that enhances Islamic values.
