Sana’a - Saba:
The parliament issued a statement arguing that the U.S. move targets the Yemeni people rather than Ansarullah, framing it as retaliation for Yemen's steadfast support of the Palestinian cause and its opposition to Israeli enemy policies.
It described the U.S. classification as part of a broader American policy aimed at suppressing those who resist its hegemony and double standards.
The parliament accused U.S. administrations of supporting Israeli aggression and engaging in war crimes in countries across the Middle East, including Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, and Palestine.
In a statmeent, the parliament criticized the U.S. for applying sanctions and labels to nations and groups opposed to its policies, calling the decision part of a broader strategy of political blackmail.
The statement reiterated their rejection of the U.S. designation, stressing their commitment to Palestinian rights and the defense of Yemeni sovereignty.
It urged international parliaments, human rights organizations, and the United Nations to condemn the U.S. action, warning that it could exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and disrupt peace efforts in the region.
The parliament's statement emphasized its commitment to countering American, British, and Israeli influence, describing the U.S. as the "head of evil" and "terrorism" in the world.
It also reaffirmed its legislative actions against normalization with Israel enemy and called for continued unity and resistance against foreign interference or aggression.
The statement denounced the alignment of the so-called Presidential Council of the Eight Traitors, at the behest of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, with the American classification decision and welcoming it in conjunction with the welcome of the Israeli Foreign Minister.
It called on on the free people in the occupied provinces to confront the American, British and Zionist movements and confront the shameful and disgraceful positions adopted by the mercenaries.
The statement renewed its warning against any suspicious movements that would compromise Yemeni sovereignty or any of the capabilities and wealth of the Yemeni people, holding the mercenaries of aggression responsible for the deterioration of the security and living conditions of citizens in the occupied provinces.
