Shura Council condemns U.S. terrorist designation of Ansarullah

Sana'a - Saba:
The Shura Council condemned in the strongest terms the US reclassification of Ansarullah as a foreign terrorist organization.

The council considered in a statement issued by it that America's steps against free peoples who reject the policy of hegemony and tyranny pursued by Washington are a flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions and a blatant encroachment on the right of peoples to freedom and independence.

It pointed out that this classification, which targets the entire Yemeni people as a result of their honorable stance with the Palestinian people, embodies the policy of double standards pursued by America, the head of evil and terrorism in the world, and those who finance and support it in a number of countries in the world, and there is much evidence of this.

The statement indicated that those who should be classified on the lists of terrorism are those whose hands are stained with the blood of innocents in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon and Palestine by the fires of America, Britain, Israel and their tools in the region.

He pointed out that America seeks through this step to abort and thwart the peace steps in Yemen and continue the aggression against the Yemeni people and increase their humanitarian suffering as a result of the siege imposed for about ten years.. stressing that the Yemeni people will remain loyal and steadfast in their support for all steps of the revolutionary and political leadership related to supporting the issues of oppressed peoples, foremost of which is the Palestinian people and their just issue.

The Council called on the Association of Senates, Shura Councils and Similar Councils in Africa and the Arab World to condemn this classification, which came against the backdrop of Yemen's support for Gaza and the negative repercussions that will result from it on the economic and humanitarian side of the Yemeni people.
