Amran - Saba:
The Governor of Amran, Dr. Faisal Ja`man, with the President of Imran University, Dr. Muhammad Al-Dhali'e, and the vice-president of the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums, Abdullah Thabet, opened today the first exhibition of archaeological and historical images organized by the Office of the General Authority for Antiquities in cooperation with Amran University.
During the opening, in the presence of the governorate's agents, Abdulaziz Abu Khurfsha and Hassan Al-Ashsa, and the director of the authority’s office in the governorate, Aziz Al-Kabari, they reviewed the contents of the exhibition from pictures representing the archaeological pieces looted from Yemen, and displayed in international auctions.
They also saw its contents from the images that embody different aspects of public life in Yemen, decades ago.
They praised the exhibition and its contents, and the symbolism and significance it carried that seeks to improve societal archaeological awareness, towards preserving the rich archaeological and historical heritage of Yemen, and the confrontation of all antiquities smuggling operations, and robbery of archaeological and historical sites.
