Hodeida - Saba:
A press conference was held in Hodeida province on Monday, marking 3,570 days of aggression under the slogan "Your crimes will not be subject to statute of limitations," as the province continues to grapple with the consequences of the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition’s aggression.
Organized by Tihama Organization for Rights, Development, and Human Heritage, the event was attended by local officials, including Governor Abdullah Atifa and province first undersecretary Mohammed Halisi. The conference focused on the human and material losses caused by the coalition's military actions in Hodeida.
Amjad Al-Omaisi, head of Tihama Organization, detailed the extensive damages, reporting that 6,023 people in the province had been killed or injured. Among the victims were 2,417 dead, including 487 children and 232 women. The violence also led to the displacement of over 804,000 people.
Al-Omaisi also highlighted the widespread destruction of infrastructure, including the targeting of nearly 2,000 bridges, 992 water networks, and 52 communication systems.
Key economic and social sectors were severely affected, with thousands of homes, schools, hospitals, and factories destroyed. Agricultural fields, food supplies, and transportation networks were also devastated, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
Halisi emphasized that the crimes committed by the aggression would not go unpunished, despite efforts to erase their record. He called on the international community and human rights organizations to hold the perpetrators accountable for the war crimes, stressing the Yemeni people's resilience and steadfastness in the face of this ongoing aggression.
The conference concluded with renewed calls for justice and accountability, urging the United Nations to take action against those responsible for the aggression and attacks committed over the past decade.
