Gaza - Saba:
The Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad strongly condemned on Monday the statements of US President Donald Trump, in which he called for the displacement of the people of the Gaza Strip to Egypt and Jordan, "in a move that reflects the continuation of the colonial approach that seeks to liquidate the Palestinian cause and displace its people."
The conference said in a statement on Monday "Trump's statements are nothing but an extension of desperate attempts aimed at breaking the will of the Palestinian people, but our people, with their steadfastness and continuous resistance, prove every time that attempts to liquidate them or uproot them from their land are doomed to failure."
He added The practical response to Trump's statements came clearly through the scene of the majestic return of the masses of Palestinians to northern Gaza this morning, in a clear challenge to the occupation and all forced displacement plans, affirming their adherence to their land and their right to remain on it no matter the sacrifices.
The Popular Conference pointed out that the call to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including al-Quds, is nothing but an additional crime added to a long record of international violations, and reveals a deep ignorance of the reality of the balance of power and the will of peoples. It also pointed out that these plans "contradict international laws and human rights, and will not pass without resistance."
The Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad stressed that Egypt and Jordan, with their Arab and Islamic depth, realize the seriousness of these statements and their disastrous dimensions, and stand with the Palestinian people and their just cause.
It called on the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nation to confront these conspiracies by all possible means.
It also expressed its belief that this plan, like other previous plans, will be buried under the feet of Palestinian steadfastness and resistance, which will not stop until the land is liberated and rights are restored.
