14 people were killed and others were injured, most of them women, when a car bomb exploded next to a car carrying agricultural workers on the outskirts of the city of Manbij, east of Aleppo, northern Syria, the second incident of its kind in a few days.
The Syrian Civil Defense said in a statement today that "a horrific massacre claimed the lives of 14 women and one man, and 15 women were injured, some seriously, which suggests that the death toll will rise," indicating that all the dead and injured were agricultural workers.
He added that the number of victims is "the initial toll of the car bomb explosion next to the car carrying agricultural workers, on a main road on the outskirts of the city of Manbij, east of Aleppo, on Monday morning."
On Saturday, three civilians were killed and six others were injured in a car bomb explosion on Al-Rabita Street in the center of Manbij, according to the Civil Defense.
