The Palestinian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, in cooperation with the Center for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, announced on Wednesday that 226 archaeological sites in Gaza Strip have been damaged due to direct targeting by the Zionist enemy army.
The ministry said in a report titled "Inventory of damage and risks to cultural heritage sites in Gaza": "The report included 316 cultural heritage sites in Gaza, divided into archaeological sites, heritage buildings, museums, religious buildings, historical cemeteries, cultural sites, natural sites and monuments.
The report showed that "out of 316 sites, 138 were categorized as severely damaged, 61 were moderately damaged, 27 were lightly damaged, and 90 sites were listed as undamaged." The report showed that "the budgets needed for the recovery of the cultural heritage sector were assessed at 261.15 million euros.
