The local authority in Khawlan district, Sana'a province, received on Thursday a water project for the village of Mughizwein in Al-Hosn Bani Shaddad district, with a community initiative from the people of the area and the support of the local authority in the province, represented by the General Department of Initiatives.
The project, implemented by the Eastern Sector Association under the supervision of the Rural Water Authority and the province's Initiatives Department, includes a 230-meter deep well, supply, transportation, installation and operation of a solar pumping unit, at a cost of 35 million and 474 thousand riyals, of which 10 million and 33 thousand riyals are the support of the local authority, 25 million and 441 are the contribution of the community.
During the receipt, the director of the directorate, Raad Al-Jamili, and the local secretary of the directorate, Abd Rabbo Qatra, praised the support of the local authority in the province and its keenness to alleviate the suffering of citizens, noting the initiative of the people and the efforts of the Department of Initiatives and Rural Water and the Eastern Sector Association in implementing the project.
He pointed out that many water projects have been implemented in the districts of the eastern sector during the past year, especially in remote areas that suffer from the scarcity of clean drinking water projects.
For their part, the people of the region expressed their appreciation for the keenness of the revolutionary and political leadership and the province leadership to alleviate the suffering of citizens, and their support for the implementation of many service projects in roads and water.
