Sa'ada Governor, Mohammed Jaber Awad, inaugurated on Thursday the construction of five classrooms at the Higher Institute of Health Sciences in the province, along with the Deputy Governor for Works Affairs, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Nimri.
Governor Awad and Undersecretary Al-Nimri, along with the Director of the Health and Environment Office in the province, Dr. Yahya Shayem, and the Dean of the Health Institute, Dr. Zakaria Al-Hadi, inspected the equipment, facilities and completed works of the new educational classrooms project, which is implemented by the executive unit for the construction , maintenance of roads and public places in the province.
They listened to an explanation about the components of the project, which cost 34 million riyals, funded by the local authority and the Central Emergency Intervention Unit, indicating that the project was implemented according to the appropriate engineering standards to ensure its sustainability and quality.
The governor pointed out that the halls will alleviate the great burden and overcrowding in the classrooms of the institute, which receives more than 1,200 male and female students who need a suitable educational environment. He stressed the local authority's endeavor to expand further , add solar energy and additional facilities.
For his part, the Director of the Health Office, Dr. Shayem, said that the project will enhance the role of the health sector in the province, praising the interest of the provincial leadership in the health sector in general and health education in particular.
He praised the role of the Executive Unit of Roads in the province, the Central Intervention Unit of the Ministry of Administration, Local , Rural Development, the deanship of the Institute in supporting and implementing the project.
