Beijing - Saba:
China has successfully launched an experimental communications satellite.
The Chinese news agency "Xinhua" said on Monday that the "Long March-3B" carrier rocket with the satellite was launched from the Xichang Spaceport in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
The satellite, called "Experimental Communications Technology Satellite No. 15", was placed in its scheduled orbit and the launch was considered successful.
This satellite is designed to test multi-band and high-speed satellite communications technologies.
It is worth noting that China is actively and seriously developing a national space program, developing meteorological, communications, navigation satellites and technologies designed to explore the moon.
