Britain's Lando Norris won pole position for the Australian Grand Prix, the opening round of the Formula 1 World Championship season, which will take place tomorrow, Sunday.
Norris's victory came after he topped the official practice session for the race today, recording a time of 1 minute and 15.096 seconds, 0.084 seconds ahead of Australia's Oscar Piastri, who finished second.
Dutchman Max Verstappen (the defending champion) finished third, and Britain's George Russell finished fourth.
Norris achieved his tenth career pole position in Formula 1 racing. Spaniard Carlos Sainz won last season's title, ahead of teammate Charles Leclerc, while Lando Norris came in third.
