Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology has forecast the formation of rainy cumulus clouds over several governorates in the country during the next 24 hours.
In its weather bulletin, which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the center explained that the weather will be mostly clear to partly cloudy during the night and early morning, with the formation of rainy cumulus clouds over parts of the governorates of Saada, western Al-Jawf, Amran, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Sana’a, Rayma, Dhamar, Ibb, Al-Dhale, and Al-Bayda during the afternoon and evening.
The center also forecast the formation of fog on the slopes and mountain roads in the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Rayma, and Ibb.
According to the center, the weather will be partly cloudy with light rainfall over parts of the eastern and southern coasts, and scattered rain on the Socotra Archipelago. Winds will be active to strong on the western coasts and the Bab al-Mandab entrance, with speeds ranging between 18-30 knots, causing rough seas and high waves.
In the desert areas, the center reported that the weather will be mostly clear to partly cloudy, with moderate to active winds during the day, stirring up dust and sand.
The National Center for Meteorology has urged residents in the areas where rain is expected to take the necessary precautions and avoid staying in the valleys and flood channels. It also warned drivers on mountain roads about reduced visibility due to the formation of fog or mist.
The center also cautioned sea-goers and fishermen along the southern western coast and the Bab al-Mandab entrance about rough seas and high waves.
