Britain condemned, on Tuesday, the Israeli security cabinet's decision to convert 13 settlement outposts in the West Bank into settlements.
British Minister of State for the Middle East Hamish Falconer said in a post on the X platform: "Settlements harm the security of both Palestinians and settlers and violate international law."
On Sunday, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said that the cabinet approved, in its meeting on Saturday night, his proposal to separate 13 settlements in the West Bank, as a prelude to recognizing their independence.
