Moscow – SABA:
Russia’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, on Tuesday condemned Israeli military strikes that have resulted in over 20 casualties in Homs over the past few days.
During a UN Security Council session on Syria, Polyansky called on the Israeli occupation to fulfill its obligations under the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, urging it to withdraw its forces from the buffer zone and other occupied Syrian territories seized since December 2024.
Earlier today, the Israeli military claimed it had targeted "remaining military capabilities" near two bases in Tadmur (Palmyra) and T-4 in western Homs province.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued their movements in southern Syria, reportedly advancing again into the Yarmouk Basin area in western Daraa countryside overnight Friday to Saturday, according to Syrian media.
Additionally, Syrian sources reported that the village of Koya was subjected to intense artillery and airstrikes in the past hours, targeting residential neighborhoods and farmlands, resulting in the martyrdom of seven Syrian civilians.
