Ibb - Saba:
A meeting was held, chaired by Ibb Governor Abdul Wahid Salah, to discuss preparations for the implementation of the Retaining Wall Construction Project to protect the Watan Residential Neighborhood in As-Saddah District from flood damage.
The Governor listened to a report by Engineer Abdo Masri from the Ministry of Administration and Local and Rural Development on the damage caused to the neighborhood by floods in recent periods. He emphasized the importance of expediting the preparation of the project study and implementing it before the rainy season to protect citizens' homes and agricultural lands.
The Governor emphasized the importance of cooperation between relevant authorities and the involvement of the local community to ensure the efficient implementation of the project and promote sustainable development.
An expanded meeting was held in the As-Saddah Directorate, chaired by the Ministry’s Director of Community Initiatives, to discuss the community’s role in implementing the project. The meeting emphasized the Central Interventions Unit’s support for the project with cement, diesel, and equipment, in addition to contributions from the local community and merchants to other service projects that have helped alleviate the suffering of the population.
