A Syrian local source reported on Thursday that a number of foreign armed factions affiliated with thenew security formation established by the gangs of takfiri groups in Syria.
A number of houses have been seized in the countryside of Tartus province, amid escalating tensions between the militants and the residents who are demanding the return of their properties.
"During the events on the Syrian coast, militants took control of a number of villages, including Qadmous, Beit Kamouneh and Rayhani, and expelled their original inhabitants," the source told Al-Malouma, noting that "attempts by residents to reclaim their houses were met with strong rejection by the foreign groups who impose their control by force."
"Residents face direct threats at gunpoint if they try to return," he said, adding that armed groups are reinforcing their presence in the area with military fortifications and using homes as headquarters.
