Ibb Governor Qasim Al-Masawi inaugurated yesterday two projects to distribute Zakat al-Fitr and cash assistance to poor and unemployed cases in the directorate.
The two projects, implemented by the Zakat Commission office in the directorate, targeted 2,528 poor and unemployed cases with an amount of 50 million and 560,000 riyals.
During the inauguration at the Ablan post office, Deputy Al-Masawi emphasized that the project to distribute zakat and monthly aid comes in implementation of the Revolution Leader's directives , Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the President of the Supreme Political Council.
Zakat Office director in the directorate, Abdul Raqib al-Humairi, explained that the Zakat al-Fitr distribution project targeted 2,245 poor and needy people with an amount of 44 million and 900 riyals, while 283 unemployed people benefited from the monthly subsidy project with an amount of 5 million and 660,000 riyals.
Al-Humairi said that the distribution is carried out through post offices in the province center, describing the two projects as a successful experience in meeting the needs of the poor and needy, especially under the current difficult circumstances.
