Gaza - Saba:
Hamas spokesperson Jihad Taha has declared that Land Day serves as a powerful symbol of Palestinian national unity, resilience, and resistance against Israeli actions. He asserted that Israel's "crimes" against the Palestinian people, their land, and holy sites – including settlement expansion, "Judaization," killings, and displacement – will not alter historical realities or legitimize Israeli presence on Palestinian land.
In a statement to al-Quds Press, Taha emphasized that the "occupation's crimes" and the "war of extermination" in Palestine, particularly in Gaza, would not be forgotten.
He reiterated the Palestinians' rejection of any compromise or relinquishment of their "legitimate rights," especially the right of return for refugees.
Taha called upon Arab and Islamic nations, governments, and human rights organizations to support the Palestinian people's steadfastness, work to halt the "aggression," and expose Israel's "crimes" and "massacres," which he said violate international law.
Palestinians commemorate Land Day on March 30th each year, marking the 1976 protests against Israeli enemy land confiscations in Galilee, the Triangle, and the Negev regions within the territories occupied in 1948.
