Damascus - Saba:
The United States has warned its citizens in Syria of an increased risk of terrorist attacks against embassies, international organizations, and public institutions during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
The US embassy issued a statement confirming that attacks could target these sites by armed individuals or armed groups, with the possible use of improvised explosive devices.
The statement also added that the US embassy in Damascus has ceased operations since 2012 and is unable to provide services to its citizens in Syria.
US citizens in need of emergency assistance should contact the consular section at the Czech Embassy in Damascus.
