Gaza – SABA:
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) announced that for the sixth consecutive day, the fate of nine of its team members, who were besieged and targeted by Israeli occupation forces in Rafah, southern Gaza, remains unknown.
In a statement on Friday, the PRCS said its teams returned to Tel Sultan in Rafah, accompanied by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), in an attempt to locate the missing paramedics.
However, Israeli forces blocked their entry into the area, preventing them from continuing the search and forcing them to withdraw.
The statement noted that no remains of the missing personnel have been found so far. However, on Thursday, the PRCS discovered its four ambulances completely destroyed and buried under sand.
The PRCS emphasized that the Israeli occupation is deliberately obstructing search operations to uncover the fate of the missing personnel.
On Thursday, PRCS teams managed to enter Tel Sultan after five days of coordination efforts.
Meanwhile, the PRCS and the Civil Defense lost contact with 14 of their members six days ago after Israeli forces besieged and targeted them in Rafah.
