Al-Quds - Saba:
While everyone was anticipating the announcement of a ceasefire in Gaza on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his team rejected the Egyptian proposal, which had been approved by Hamas.
In response, the security cabinet presented a counterproposal during its meeting yesterday, Saturday.
Channel 14 reports that the occupying entity is awaiting Hamas's response through mediators, as it approaches a turning point that could lead to another deal or, alternatively, a major military escalation in the Gaza Strip.
The channel adds, "We are entering a fateful week that could witness a breakthrough in the talks, or an escalation."
