Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi visited the Ministry of Oil and Minerals on Monday , met with Minister Dr. Abdullah Al-Amir, his deputy, Mohammed Al-Najjar, and a number of heads of its units to review the level of discipline and the progress of implementation of activities and projects in the sector.
The meeting reviewed the efforts exerted by the Ministry to stabilize the supply situation of oil derivatives and domestic gas in the capital and the provinces.
The Prime Minister emphasized the great responsibility of the Ministry and its affiliates towards the citizens by continuously enhancing the supply situation of oil derivatives and gas in the local markets.
He praised the plans of the Ministry and the competent authorities in this aspect, which led to the remarkable stability in the supply situation of these materials throughout the past period. He stressed the importance of paying special attention to ensure the safety of imported shipments early on and the extent to which they comply with the approved specifications and standards.
The Oil and Minerals Minister reviewed the conditions of the Ministry , its affiliated entities and the efforts exerted by all and in cooperation with other relevant authorities to ensure the enhancement of the supply situation for oil derivatives and domestic gas.
He explained that the ongoing development projects are proceeding according to the approved executive plan. He reviewed the projects to be launched in coordination with the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Investment in the mineral field within the framework of the economic stimulus program emanating from the government's general program.
