The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday that its air defense systems shot down 333 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory in one day.
The Ministry of Defense said in a statement that "air defense systems shot down 333 drones, including 158 outside the zone of special military operations."
It is noteworthy that the Russian military also destroyed six US-made JDAM guided aerial bombs.
Ukrainian forces attacked the Korenovskaya Compressor Station in the Krasnodar Region, which supplies the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, using drones on Wednesday.
The ministry reported the previous day that Russian energy facilities had been attacked twice by the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the past 24 hours, despite an agreement prohibiting attacks on energy facilities.
The Ministry of Defense also noted that as a result of attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the 750 kV Kursk Nuclear Power Plant-Metallurgikheskaya line belonging to the Rosseti-Chernozemnoye subsidiary of the state joint-stock company was disconnected. Another drone attack also occurred on the 35 kV Novogoryivka substation belonging to the Tavria-Energo State Unitary Enterprise, causing damage to the transformer radiator.
The Ministry added that the Kyiv regime, in violation of the Russian-American agreements to halt strikes on energy facilities for 30 days starting March 18, 2025, continues its unilateral attacks on Russian energy infrastructure.
