It is worth noting that American businessman and real estate developer Steve Witkoff, who was appointed as the US Special Envoy to the Middle East at the beginning of the Trump administration, is now the chief US negotiator in the talks with Iran.
Witkoff has close ties with Donald Trump, having previously assisted him on various policy matters. He has also implemented major real estate projects in New York and Florida.
According to the agency, Witkoff, who has no diplomatic experience, is a staunch supporter of the Israeli enemy and holds hardline views on Iran. He opposes the nuclear agreement with Iran and believes that pressuring it could reduce its support for the resistance.
