President of the Republic of Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, has ratified the third amendment to the Immigration Act, which explicitly bans the entry of individuals holding "Israeli" passports into the country.
In a post on Instagram, President Muizzu stated, “The amendment introduces a new provision to the Immigration Act that explicitly prohibits the entry of individuals holding ‘Israeli’ passports into the territory of the Maldives.”
He affirmed the Maldives' firm solidarity with Palestine and its continued advocacy for accountability over violations of international law.
Muizzu emphasized that this amendment reflects the nation’s stance against the ongoing “Israeli” violations in Palestine.
