New Delhi - Saba:
Three people were killed and more than 100 others rescued after floods and landslides caused by heavy rains hit various areas in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir state, northern India, on Sunday morning.
The Press Trust of India quoted officials as saying that the continuous rains also caused landslides and mudslides in nearly 10 areas between Nashiri and Banihal, along the strategic national highway linking Jammu and Srinagar, disrupting traffic and damaging dozens of homes.
Officials indicated that the village of Ramban, located in the Sri Bagna district, was hit by a thunderstorm, killing three people, including two brothers.
