Dr. Saeed Salah, director of the Friends of the Sick Hospital, which specializes in treating children in Gaza City, said the hospital is witnessing a significant increase in the number of children suffering from malnutrition, requiring hospitalization.
In press statements, Salah warned of the rapid deterioration in children's health due to severe and moderate malnutrition, in light of the ongoing Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip and the difficulty of bringing in food aid.
