Dr. Zaid Al-Haddour, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Secondary Education, inaugurated on Monday the Scientific Week and Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Technical Exhibition at Al-Jazeera College of Medical and Technical Sciences for the academic year 1446 AH.
The Scientific Week aims to organize events, activities, scientific competitions, medical and technical exhibitions across all medical, technical, and administrative disciplines, with the participation of pharmaceutical companies and medical suppliers. It also includes honoring top-performing students, winners of scientific , cultural competitions, and participants in the Scientific Week.
During the inauguration, Undersecretary Al-Haddour praised Al-Jazeera Community College’s initiative in organizing the Scientific Week and medical exhibitions for all specialties, marking the culmination of years of training and medical and technical education. He emphasized the importance of linking theoretical knowledge with practical application through medical, pharmaceutical, technical, and administrative exhibitions.
The Undersecretary of the Secondary Education Sector explained that the bridging system will be launched in the coming days, allowing graduates of institutes and community colleges to continue their academic education in the same disciplines at the bachelor’s and postgraduate levels.
For his part, Dr. Hashim Al-Maghribi, Dean of Al-Jazeera College of Medical and Technical Sciences, emphasized the college’s commitment to organizing scientific weeks , medical and technical exhibitions to link theoretical knowledge with practical applications. These events involve participation from labor market stakeholders and the private sector, equipping graduates with hands-on field skills by showcasing models of their innovations across various medical, technical, and administrative departments.
He noted that the scientific week includes an exhibition for the Pharmacy and Laboratories departments on the first day, followed by exhibitions for the Nursing, Physician Assistants, Midwifery, and Obstetrics departments on the next day. The third day will feature a medical exhibition for the Dental Assistants and Dental Technology departments, followed by an exhibition for graduates of the administrative and technical departments. The events will be accompanied by competitions , diverse scientific and cultural activities, as well as honoring top-performing students.
Dr. Al-Maghribi pointed out that the closing ceremony will recognize participants, contributing companies, winners of the scientific, cultural, and sports competitions organized by the college. He praised the creative ideas of male and female students in preparing the exhibition, where they transformed their concepts into innovative projects that reflect real-world applications.
Meanwhile, Dr. Muhib Yassir, Head of the Nursing and Physician Assistants Department, described the scientific week and the medical and technical exhibition as a distinguished platform for exchanging knowledge and ideas, promoting scientific research, embodying the spirit of innovation and excellence in the field of medicine.
Moreover, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Secondary Education, the Dean of Al-Jazeera College of Medical and Technical Sciences, and their accompanying delegation inaugurated the Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Technical Exhibition for the medical departments. They reviewed a number of innovative projects that reflected the level of skills students acquired during their academic journey."
