Gaza – Saba: The Hebrew newspaper Maariv revealed that the Israeli army is facing an unprecedented crisis in leadership cadres, with a shortage of approximately 300 officers in the positions of platoon commanders in the ground forces.
The newspaper reported that the army is finding it difficult to convince qualified soldiers to enroll in officer training courses, which has prompted it to appoint sergeants as temporary platoon commanders.
