US President Donald Trump announced that the United States will launch new strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities "if necessary," in escalating statements on Tuesday.
Trump wrote on his social media platform, according to the Russian news agency Sputnik, "Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said of the nuclear facilities: 'The damage is severe, they are destroyed.' Of course we are, as I told you before, and we will strike again if necessary."
Trump continued his harsh criticism of CNN, calling it "fake news" and demanding that it expel its correspondent, describing him as "fake news." He continued, "They should apologize to me and our great pilots who 'obliterated' Iran's nuclear sites."
